Quality Control Supervisor

Karat® by Lollicup headquartered in Chino, CA, is the manufacturer of Karat® & Karat Earth® food disposable packaging and TeaZone® beverage products, the master distributor of other leading brands’ coffee & tea ingredients (such as Da Vinci, Big Train, Monin etc), and we also specializes in custom print and innovative packaging. We have been recognized for our thermoforming plastic capabilities in North America to produce cups and food packaging products that allow us to offer competitive pricing throughout our distribution network (currently 5 regional warehouses are located in CA, TX, SC, WA and NJ), and services to chain accounts such as Panda Express, Chili’s, TGI Friday, Flame Broiler, Torchy’s Taco, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and more.

The quality control supervisor position analyzes process reports and troubleshoots problems to correct quality issues.

Essential Functions


Responsible for directing and supervising a group of Quality Control Technicians involved in inspection and quality control procedures with regard to raw material, in-process material and finished goods products to assure that quality control standards are achieved.

  1. Plan and assign work areas of subordinates.
  2. Develop and/or adapt inspection equipment to meet quality control standards, make suggestions with regard to procedures, standards and equipment to facilitate work and maintain product quality.
  3. Analyze facts or circumstances surrounding root cause of non-conformance or individual problems to determine what action should be taken within the limits of standard practices.
  4. Responsible for compilation and maintenance of inspection reports and records.
  5. Investigate and determine cause of faulty work and consult and advise production supervisors as to corrective measures.
  6. Maintain discipline, morale and harmonious relations among subordinates.
  7. Investigate and adjust personnel problems within area of responsibility. Effectively recommend as to hiring, promotions, wage adjustments and terminations.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position is a direct report to the Quality Control Manager. Responsible for the performance management, and hiring of the employees, within that department in conjunction with QC Manager.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional production environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 50 hours per week. Some weekends may be assigned by QC Manager

Required Education and Experience

  1. Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
  2. Intermediate math skills
  3. Excellent Oral / Written communications
  4. Team environment cohesion
  5. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality control in a manufacturing environment.

Pay Rate – $18.00 Per Hour
